Michael Brudent
Title – Michael Brudent: Entre calligraphie et forme / Between calligraphy and form
• Michael Brudent was born in Port-au-Prince in 1947. He graduated in 1968 from École Nationale des Arts and in 1971 from the Conservatoire National d’Art Dramatique, both in Port-au-Prince. Brudent has illustrated numerous Haitian educational school textbooks. He is also a graphic artist and certified calligrapher.

Brudent a illustré de nombreux livres scolaires haïtiens. Il est également graphiste et calligraphe certifié.

This 109-page book on Haitian artist Michael Brudent is the first publication in a new series entitled Artistes Haïtiens that we began in 2021. The volume covers Brudent’s evolution over time, and the arc of his ”grass green” signature color found throughout his work. Published in December 2021, this book is now available in softcover. Additionally, a set of 10 postcards featuring Brudent’s work is also available. The cards come in an envelope beautifully illustrated with his works. See below for ordering details.
